§ 01 The firm

A boutique practice, trusted by international clients for the calm of its counsel.

Magnier Abogados attorney reviewing a property transfer with a client.

Since its establishment, Magnier Abogados has grown into a reference law firm for the French‑speaking community in Palma de Mallorca — advising on real estate transactions, successions, and lease agreements with the same steady hand.

Our team is fluent in Spanish, French and English, and works across different European legal systems. We take the time to understand each client's circumstances before proposing a strategy, and we are as comfortable in a notary's office as we are on a video call.

  • Position A dedicated legal partner for buyers, heirs, landlords and tenants across the Balearic Islands.
  • Approach Solid, strategic advice — continuously updated with legislative changes and relevant case law.
  • Availability Consultations at our office in Palma and remote sessions from anywhere in the world.

§ 03 Approach

A defined four‑step path from the first call to a resolved matter.

Every case is different, but the way we take it in is the same — a clear, unrushed sequence that lets us understand the situation before we ever propose a course of action.

01

Initial consultation

You describe the matter in your language. We listen, ask, and identify what is legally at stake.

02

Analysis

Documents are reviewed, the applicable law is confirmed, and cross‑border implications are mapped.

03

Strategy

You receive a written proposal with options, expected timelines and a transparent fee estimate.

04

Resolution

Representation at the notary, before administrations or, when required, in court until the file is closed.

§ 04 Languages

Three working languages. Two legal traditions. One point of contact.

Cross‑border matters live or die on the quality of the communication behind them. We handle every file end‑to‑end in the language you signed the first contract in.

Our experience across French and Spanish legal systems allows us to navigate the differences between them without translation loss — an advantage for the international community that has made the Balearics its second home.

  • ES Español Primary working language · all court and notary matters.
  • FR Français Native counsel for French clients and cross‑border succession files.
  • EN English Fluent day‑to‑day advice, contracts and correspondence.
§ 05 Frequent questions

Short answers to what clients ask before they call.

  • Q · 01 How does the first consultation work?
You describe the matter — in Spanish, French or English — during a scheduled call or at our office in Palma. We review the situation, identify what is legally at stake, and outline the next steps. There is no obligation to continue after the first meeting.
  • Q · 02 Can you assist me if I do not live in Spain?
Yes. A significant part of our practice is advising non‑residents — French, other European and international clients — on real estate, inheritance and administrative matters in the Balearic Islands. Consultations, document exchange and representation can all be handled remotely.
  • Q · 03 Which areas of law does the firm cover?
Real estate transactions, inheritance and succession, lease agreements, civil, commercial and tax law, corporate matters and non‑resident representation. Cases outside these areas are referred to trusted colleagues.
  • Q · 04 How are fees calculated?
After the initial consultation you receive a written estimate. Depending on the file, we work with a flat fee, an hourly rate or a milestone‑based structure — always agreed with you in advance and in writing.
  • Q · 05 How quickly can you take on a file?
Most first consultations are scheduled within a few working days. Urgent matters — a signing at a notary, a summons received in Spain — are prioritised whenever the firm's schedule allows.
